Motor Runs Slowly at All Speeds
Note: Whenever a wiper motor malfunction occurs, ensure wiper motor wire harness is properly connected before starting with normal diagnosis and repair procedures.1. Remove wiper arms and blades, disconnect wiper motor connector, then drive link from motor.
2. Connect a suitable ammeter between positive terminal and terminal three of motor connector. Connect a ground wire to terminal four of motor connector. When replacing drive link nut, torque nut to 98-106 inch lbs.
3. If motor runs and average ammeter reading is higher than six amps, proceed to step 4. If motor runs and average ammeter reading is less than six amps go to step 5.
4. Connect a suitable ohmmeter, check high and low circuits for a short to ground.
5. Check to see if wiper linkage or pivots are binding.
