Heater Core: Service and Repair

NOTE: The unit housing must be removed from the vehicle to service the heater core.

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery.
2. Remove unit housing from vehicle. For procedure Refer to Evaporator Case/Service and Repair/Evaporator Case Replacement. Evaporator Housing Removal and Installation

Heater Core Removal:

3. With the unit housing out of the vehicle, pull back heater core retaining clips. Then pull the heater core out of the heater housing.

INSTALLATION
1. Push new heater core into the unit housing.

Heater Core:

2. Fasten heater core to unit housing with screws provided with new heater core.
3. Install unit housing into vehicle.
4. Reconnect battery.
