SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Water and/or dust intrusion may occur due to gap between deck opening seal and decklid inner panel. Two potential conditions exist; corners gapped at waterfall, and front surface gapped at backlite (between hinge arms).
DIAGNOSIS:
Examine weatherstrip to decklid fit at waterfall and backlite areas by placing a bright light in the trunk with the decklid closed. Light will be visible where gaps are present If gaps are present in the waterfall (Intrepid only) or backlite areas, proceed with the repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
** This repair involves replacing the deck opening weatherstrip and adjusting the weatherstrip mounting flange.
1. Remove existing deck opening seal and replace with the appropriate service weatherstrip as described on page 23-35 of the 1993 Concorde/Intrepid/ Vision Service Manual (Publication No. 81-270-3140).
2. If gaps are still present, the weatherstrip mounting flanges can be adjusted by hammering them in the desired direction. Be careful not to over bend the flanges. **
