"Clicking" Seat Track Rollers
MODELS:
1993 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid/Vision
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some vehicles equipped with manual seat adjusters built before November 11, 1992 (MDH 11-11-XX) may exhibit a "clicking" noise coming from the seat tracks during acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle.
PARTS REQUIRED:
AR Grade 2 Lithium Based Grease NPN
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This repair involves applying grease to the seat track rollers.
1. Adjust seat, full rearward, exposing maximum length of lower track at front of seat.
2. Using a grease gun, be sure grease is exiting gun and cycle grease gun handle one time placing grease as far into the track as possible.
3. Adjust seat to the full forward position, exposing maximum amount of lower track at rear of seat. Repeat grease gun procedure.
4. This procedure should be done on both left and right side of seats and to both manual front seats if applicable.
5. Cycle tracks forward and rearward slowly to check for excessive grease exiting tracks.
NOTE:
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO PROTECT THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE FROM SOILING.
