Rollover Valve: Description and Operation

Fuel Check Valve:

PURPOSE
The fuel check valve prevents fuel leaks should the car suddenly roll over.

LOCATION
The valve is connected to the fuel vapor line (between the canister and [1][2]overfill limiter) and is mounted on the firewall.

OPERATION
Under normal conditions, the gasoline vapor passage in the valve is opened, but if roll-over occurs at least one of two balls closes the fuel passage preventing fuel leaks.
