Chart No. 3, Resume Switch Circuit Test
The set speed prior to cancellation should resume when the resume switch is placed in the On position even if the constant speed control has been cancelled.When the Resume switch is placed in the On position and held while the vehicle is traveling at the previously set constant speed, the vehicle speed will increase. When the switch is released, that speed will be the new set speed.
The set speed should not resume, even if the Resume switch remains in the On position, if the Main switch is turned off and vehicle speed falls below 25 mph.
Current flows to the control unit, Resume switch and to ground.
Check ECU terminal No. 4 on 1990 models or terminal No. 18 on 1991 models, Resume switch. No voltage should be present with the switch in the On position. Voltage should be approximately 12 volts with the switch in the Off position.
