1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove companion flange to driveshaft bolts.
3. Using a suitable tool, pry driveshaft out of differential carrier.
4. Remove circlip from driveshaft and oil seal from differential carrier.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
CAUTION: Ensure differential carrier oil seal is not damaged by driveshaft spline.
a. Ensure that there is no oil or grease on threaded portion of companion flange and driveshaft attaching bolt and nut torque driveshaft to companion flange bolts to 40-47 lb-ft.
b. Driveshafts are of different length. Driveshafts can be distinguished from each other by identification color of boot band C.
