Fig. 5 Removing Shock Absorber Assembly (2WD):

Remove shock absorber assembly in numbered sequence, noting the following:
1. Jack up torsion axle and arm assembly in order to release tension.
2. Place jack at center of axle beam, ensuring jack does not contact lateral rod.
3. Reverse procedure to install.

ASSEMBLY SERVICE

Disassemble strut assembly in numbered sequence shown, noting the following:
1. Ensure spring is properly seated in upper and lower spring seat when installing.
2. Install strut upper bracket as shown, then tighten strut rod nut to specifications.
