Cranking Signal: Description and Operation

The ignition switch ON signal informs the Control Unit to position the idle speed control components, then relays an ignition pulse reference signal for cranking when the switch is turned to the START position. This signal also energizes the MPI System Relay and the fuel pump control relay.
