Chart No. 7, Accelerator Switch Wiring Circuit A/T

The accelerator switch detects the operational status of the accelerator pedal.
During constant speed driving, the accelerator pedal is not operational. The ground circuit of the accelerator switch if off during constant speed driving, as to not interfere with the function of the automatic transaxle.
Measure voltage at terminal No. 6 on 1990 models or terminal No. 3 on 1991 models, control unit power supply. Voltage should measure 12 volts at all times.
Measure voltage at terminal No. 16 on 1990 models or terminal No. 9 on 1991 models, accelerator switch. With the accelerator pedal depressed, voltage should measure 0 volts. With the accelerator pedal at rest, voltage should measure 12 volts.
