SUBJECT: Loose Rear Quarter Trim Panel


MODELS:

1990 - 1991 (BD) TALON (FWD, AWD)


SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Some of the subject vehicles may have loose interior quarter trim panel(s) due to a loose or missing trim clip at the top outboard position of the panel(s). The current available trim clip does not fully seat through the hole in the sheet metal and can work its way out of position. A revised trim clip is now available in either gray or brown.

PARTS REQUIRED:

2 Clip, Trim MB692976 (Gray)
MB692977 (Brown)





REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This procedure involves replacing the loose or missing trim clip from the left and right interior quarter trim panels with a revised clip.

1. Push down on the center shaft of the trim clip to disengage the locking tabs. Remove the existing trim clip from the location as shown below. Repeat the process on the opposite side.


2. Install the new trim clips by pushing firmly on the clip to seat it.
