SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
On the listed models, the door outer weatherstrip may come loose from the door sash channel along the top edge of the door and require the addition of an adhesive to hold it in place.

NOTE: THE HIGH SILICONE CONTENT OF THE WEATHERSTRIP MAKES ADHESION DIFFICULT, THEREFORE THE LISTED 3M WEATHERSTRIP ADHESIVE IS REQUIRED.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This procedure involves the application of weatherstrip adhesive along the top edge of the door sash to secure the weatherstrip.
1. Remove the door outer weatherstrip from the horizontal portion of the door sash channel, from the corner mold forward (Figure 1). It is not necessary to remove the weatherstrip entirely from the door.

2. Wipe the weatherstrip and channel with 3M General Purpose Weatherstrip Adhesive Cleaner beginning 7-7/8 in. (200 mm) from the corner mold and 6.0 in. (150 mm) forward as shown in Figure 2.

3. Using a small brush, apply 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive on the weatherstrip and on the door sash channel as shown in Figures 3 and 4. Allow the weatherstrip to become tacky before installing the weatherstrip in the channel.

4. Begin the installation of the weatherstrip by positioning the inside edge in the channel first and then push the outer edge down to lock the outer edge in the channel as shown in Figure 5.
NOTE: A TRIM STICK MAY BE HELPFUL.
