APPLICABLE TO THE VEHICLE, USE VIP OR PERFORM A VIN SEARCH IN

SUBJECT:
Front And/Or Rear Brake Noise (Squeal)

OVERVIEW
This bulletin involves changing front and rear brake pads to correct a brake squeal noise.

MODELS:

2013 (LD) Charger

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles in police fleet usage only (sales code AHB) built before November 29, 2012 (MDH 1129XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience a squealing noise during braking coming from the front and/or rear of the vehicle.

DIAGNOSIS:
If a customers VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. For all other customers that describe the symptom/condition, perform the Repair Procedure.

NOTE:

1. Raise the vehicle on a suitable hoist. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT > TechCONNECT under: Service Info > 04- Vehicle Quick Reference> Hoisting > Standard Procedure > Hoisting.

2. Remove and replace front brake pads (p/n 68147681AA). Refer to the detailed removal procedures available in DealerCONNECT > TechCONNECT under: Service Info > 05- Brakes > Brakes, Base > Hydraulic/Mechanical > Pads, Brake, Front > Removal/Installation.

3. Remove and replace rear brake pads (p/n 68001440AB). Refer to the detailed removal procedures available in DealerCONNECT> TechCONNECT under: Service Info > 05- Brakes > Brakes, Base > Hydraulic/Mechanical > Pads, Brake, Rear > Removal/Installation.
