Power Seat Switch

DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - POWER SEAT SWITCH

6-WAY DRIVER SEAT





1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the power seat switch from the seat Power Seat Switch - Removal.
3. Use an ohmmeter to test the continuity of the power seat switch using the following table. If not OK, replace the inoperative power seat switch. If switch tests OK, check for an open or short in the power seat circuit wiring. If no open or short is found, replace the power seat track and pan assembly Front Seat Adjuster - Removal.

8-WAY DRIVER SEAT WITHOUT MEMORY





1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the power seat switch from the seat Power Seat Switch - Removal.
3. Use an ohmmeter to test the continuity of the power seat switch using the following table. If not OK, replace the inoperative power seat switch. If switch tests OK, check for an open or short in the power seat circuit wiring. If no open or short is found, replace the power seat track and pan assembly or seat back frame, as required.

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the power seat switch from the seat Power Seat Switch - Removal.
3. Use an ohmmeter to test the continuity of the power seat switch using the following table. If not OK, replace the inoperative power seat switch. If switch tests OK, check for an open or short in the power seat circuit wiring. If no open or short is found, replace the power seat track and pan assembly or seat back frame, as required.
