Front End Clunk Noise When Coming To A Stop

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing both the left and right side front tension struts

MODELS:
2011 - 2012 (LD) Charger

2011 - 2012 (LE) Charger (Export)

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles in police fleet usage or sold in Mexico equipped with heavy duty suspension only (sales code SDB) built before December 16, 2012 (MDH 1216XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The police fleet/customer may experience a front end clunk noise, coming from the tension strut bushing(s), when coming to a stop.

DIAGNOSIS:
If the customer describes the symptom, perform the Repair Procedure.





PARTS REQUIRED:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:





1. Replace both the left and right side tension struts. Refer to the detailed procedures available in DealerConnect > TechCONNECT > under: Service Info > 02 - Front Suspension > Front > STRUT, Tension, RWD > Removal/Installation.

POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
