Spot Lamp Bulb - Installation

CAUTION: Always use the correct bulb size and type for replacement. An incorrect bulb size or type may overheat and cause damage to the lamp, the socket or the lamp wiring.

NOTE: Spot lamps are offered with either a standard halogen lighting unit or an optional Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting unit. The service procedures for both lighting elements are the same, only the lighting element type is different.





1. Check to be certain that the three curved gaskets (2) within the spot lamp housing (1) are properly installed and in good condition.





2. Position the sealed beam (2) close enough to the spot lamp housing (3) to access and reconnect the spot lamp wire harness connectors (5) to the terminals on the back of the reflector.
3. Position the sealed beam into the spot lamp head housing.
4. Position the bezel (1) onto the spot lamp head housing.
5. Lock the bezel to the housing by rotating the bezel clockwise.
6. While supporting the spot lamp head housing, install and tighten the screw (4) that secures the bezel to the housing. Tighten the screw securely.
7. Return the spot lamp head to the stowed position.
8. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
