Spot Lamp - Removal

LAMP





1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Raise the spot lamp head (1) from the stowed to the operating position.
3. Remove the screw (5) and wedge insert (6) that secure the spot lamp handle (7) to the spot lamp head tube and shaft.
4. Remove the clip (4) that secures the spot lamp handle wire to the spot lamp guide tube.
5. Partially remove the trim (8) from the inside of the A-pillar. A-Pillar Trim Panel - Removal.
6. Remove the handle from the tube and shaft, then set it on the instrument panel.
7. Reach behind the A-pillar trim to access and disconnect the handle wire connector (3) from the overhead wire harness connector (2).
8. Disengage the handle wire from the A-pillar trim and set the handle and A-pillar trim aside.





9. From the outside of the vehicle, remove the spot lamp head, tube and shaft unit (1) from the bracket and guide tube unit (2) on the outer A-pillar (3) and set the spot lamp aside.





10. Remove the two screws (2) that secure the spot lamp bracket and guide tube unit (1) to the outside of the A-pillar (5).
11. Remove the bracket and guide tube unit and the gasket (3) from the A-pillar.
