A-Pillar Trim Panel - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Check to be certain that the energy absorbing cartridge (1) is properly installed and in good condition on the inside of the A-pillar (2). Replace the cartridge if any damage is evident. Tighten the screws (3) to 3 Nm (25 in. lbs.).





2. Check to be certain that the grommet (2) for the front tether of the side curtain airbag is properly installed and in good condition. Replace the grommet if any damage is evident. Side Curtain Air Bag - Removal.
3. Engage the base of the A-pillar trim (1) to the end of the instrument panel top cover.
4. Align the two spring clip retainers on the trim with the slots in the inner A-pillar (3).
5. Using hand pressure, press firmly and evenly forward on the trim over each of the spring clip locations until the retainers snap into place.
