SUBJECT:
Water Drips Into Trunk Compartment When Decklid Is Opened
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves removing the lower e-coat drain plugs from the decklid to allow water to drain properly and prevent it from running into the trunk compartment when opening the decklid.
MODELS:
2011-2012 JS Avenger
NOTE:
This bulletin applies to Avenger vehicles only built prior to November 17, 2011 (MDH 1117XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience water leaking into the trunk compartment when opening the decklid.
DIAGNOSIS:
If a customers VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. For all other customers that describe the symptom/condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
Open the rear decklid and remove the lower e-coat drain plug (1) from each side of the decklid (2) (Fig. 1).
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
