DMT6 Manual Transmission - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Turn clips (2) and remove air inlet (1).





2. Remove the air box (1).
3. Remove the batteryBattery - Removal.





4. Remove the battery tray Battery Tray - Removal.





5. Remove the shift cables (2) from shift cable bracket (3) by squeezing clips (1) and pulling up.





6. Remove the electrical connector at the backup lamp switch (3).
7. Remove the shift cables at the shift tower (1, 2).





8. Remove the clip (1) at the hydraulic line (3) and pull line back.





9. Remove the upper bellhousing bolts (1) and the starter bolts (2).





10. Support the transmission with a floor jack.
11. Remove the left upper mount bolts (2).





12. Raise vehicle on the hoist.
13. Remove the intercooler tube at the intercooler and the throttle body . Charge Air Cooler and Hoses - Removal
14. Remove drain plug drain transmission fluid into a drain pan.





15. Remove the wheels.
16. Remove the pinch bolt at the left knuckle.





17. Remove the left side hub nut (1).





18. Remove halfshafts Half Shaft - Removal.





19. Remove the right halfshaft from the intermediate shaft.
20. Remove the bolts and nuts (1) holding the bracket to the catalytic converter and the intermediate shaft.
21. Remove the bracket to the catalytic converter.
22. Remove the bolts (2) holding the intermediate shaft to the block.





23. Support the engine with a screw jack.





24. Support the transmission with a transmission jack.





25. Remove the front mount through bolt (1).





26. Remove the bolts at the transmission crossmember.
27. Remove the transmission crossmember.





28. Remove the exhaust at the maniverter.
29. Remove the front mount bracket bolts (2).
30. Remove the front mount bracket.





31. Remove the through bolt (1) at the rear transmission mount (2).
32. Remove the two nuts (3) and one bolt (4) holding the rear transmission mount to the frame.
33. Remove the bolts holding the rear transmission mount bracket to the block.





34. Remove bolts (2) at rear mount bracket to block.
35. Remove the rear transmission mount (2) and rear transmission mount bracket at the same time.





36. Remove the lower bellhousing bolts (3).
37. Remove transmission from the vehicle.
