DMT6 Manual Transmission - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Install the transaxle assembly into vehicle.
2. Install the bellhousing lower bolts (3) and tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).





3. Lift engine and transmission into place.
4. Install the rear transmission mount (2) and rear transmission mount bracket at the same time.
5. Install rear mount bracket bolts (2) and tighten to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.).





6. Install the rear transmission mount bolts and nuts tighten bolt (4) to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.), tighten the nuts (3) to 52 Nm (38 ft. lbs.).
7. Install the rear mount through bolt (1) and tighten to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).





8. Install the front mount bracket (1) and the mounting bolts (2), tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).





9. Install the transmission crossmember and front mount.
10. Install the transmission crossmember bolts and tighten to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).





11. Install the front mount through bolt (1) and tighten to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).
12. Remove transmission and screw jacks.





13. Install the intermediate shaft (3) into the transmission.
14. Install the intermediate shaft to block bolts (2) and tighten to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).
15. Install the bracket (4) to the catalytic converter and the intermediate shaft tighten bolts and nuts (1) to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).
16. Install the right halfshaft Half Shaft - Installation.





17. Install the left halfshaft Half Shaft - Installation.





18. Install the left side hub nut (1) 244 Nm (180 ft. lbs.).





19. Install the pinch bolt (2) at the left knuckle and tighten to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).
20. Install the wheels.
21. Fill the transmission with the correct fluid Fluid Drain and Refill.





22. Lower the vehicle.
23. Install the left upper mount bolts (2) and tighten to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).





24. Install the upper bellhousing bolts and tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).





25. Install the electrical connector (2) at the backup lamp switch (3).
26. Install the shift cables at the shift tower (1, 2).





27. Install the hydraulic line (3) and clip (1) perform bleed procedure Service and Repair.





28. Install the shift cables (2) onto shift cable bracket (3) by squeezing clips (1) and pushing down on the cables.





29. Install the battery tray.
30. Install the battery.





31. Install the air box (1).





32. Install the air inlet (1).
