Transmission Input Shaft - Assembly

ASSEMBLY





1. Using Bearing Splitter 1130 (3) and a Press, install the input shaft bearing inner race (2) onto the input shaft (1).





2. Insure that the input shaft bearing (1) retainer is in the groove (3) cut in the bearing (2).





3. Using a Press (1), install the newinput shaft bearing (3) and its retainer onto the input shaft (2).





4. Install a new bearing retaining bolt (2) and tighten to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).
