Pressure Hose






GAS TURBO ENGINE

CAUTION: Power steering fluid hoses must remain away from the exhaust system, driveshafts, vehicle components and any unfriendly surface that can possibly damage the hoses.





1. Install the power steering pressure hose (3) into the engine compartment using the reverse of how the hose was removed. Route the gear end down to the gear and the pump end across the front of the engine to the pump.
2. Position the pressure hose (3) at the left side of the engine and install the routing clamp bolt (2). Tighten the routing clamp bolt to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).





3. Using a lint free towel, wipe clean the open power steering hose end and the power steering pump port. Replace any used O-ring with new. Lubricate the O-ring with power steering fluid.
4. Install the pressure hose (3) at the pump (2) pressure port. Tighten the tube nut (1) to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).

5. Raise and support the vehicle. Service and Repair




6. Using a lint free towel, wipe clean the open power steering hose end and the power steering gear port. Replace any used O-rings with new. Lubricate the O-ring with power steering fluid.
7. Install the pressure hose (1) at the gear (2). Tighten the tube nut to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).





8. Position the power steering hose routing clamps at the left side of the crossmember. Install the routing clamp screw (1) and tighten it to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.).

9. lower the vehicle.
10. Install the air cleaner housing. Air Cleaner Body - Installation
11. Install the engine appearance cover.
12. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Power Steering System Bleeding
13. Check for leaks.
