Turbocharger - Removal

REMOVAL










1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Drain cooling system Service and Repair.
3. Remove air cleaner housing Air Cleaner Body - Removal.
4. Remove the vacuum hoses from the turbocharger actuator(1-3).
5. Remove turbocharger outlet tubing (4).

6. Remove turbo inlet tubing.




7. Remove upstream oxygen sensor
8. Remove rear engine bracket.
9. Remove turbocharger heat shield bolts (1-5). Remove heat shield (6).










10. Raise vehicle. Remove right front and front splash shield.
11. Remove coolant lines at turbocharger.
12. Remove oil lines at turbocharger.
13. Remove turbocharger oil return tube mounting bolts (1).
14. Remove oil return tube (2).
15. Remove top turbocharger to manifold screws.
16. Remove catalytic converter Catalytic Converter - Removal.
17. Remove turbocharger support bracket.
18. Remove lower turbocharger to manifold screws.
19. Remove turbocharger from vehicle.
20. Clean turbocharger to manifold mating surface.
