Instrument Panel Pad - Removal






REMOVAL





1. Open hood, disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

WARNING: Wait two minutes for the airbag system reserve capacitor to discharge before beginning any airbag system or component service. Failure to do so may result in accidental airbag deployment, or potentially serious or fatal injury.

2. Remove instrument panel top cover Instrument Panel Cover - Removal.
3. Remove left and right end caps Instrument Panel End Cap - Removal.
4. Remove steering column opening cover Steering Column Opening Cover - Removal.
5. Remove the console shifter bezel Shifter Bezel - Removal or Shifter Bezel - Removal
6. Remove the instrument panel center bezel Instrument Panel Bezel - Removal.
7. Remove the passenger airbag (if equipped) Passenger Air Bag - Removal.
8. Remove ten upper trim panel screws, five screw attachments along forward edge under top cover, two screw attachments under each end cap, two screw attachments under center bezel, two clip attachments in the cooler bin, one screw attachment under the steering cover, one clip attachment on passenger side near outboard outlet, and two clips in the cluster bezel area.
