Installation

INSTALLATION





1. If removed, install catalytic converter support bracket and nuts. Tighten nuts to 68 Nm (50 ft.lbs.).
2. Position turbocharger on exhaust manifold.




3. Install turbocharger to catalytic converter mounting nuts. Hand tighten only.
4. Install catalytic converter bracket to catalytic converter bolts. Hand tighten only.




5. Using indicated pattern, tighten catalytic converter mounting nuts to 22 Nm (194 in. lbs.).
6. Using indicated pattern, tighten turbocharger to catalytic converter mounting nut to 26 Nm (230 in. lbs.)




7. Install upstream oxygen sensor. Tighten sensor to 56 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
8. Connect upstream oxygen sensor electrical connector.
9. Install downstream oxygen sensor. Tighten sensor to 56 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
10. Connect downstream oxygen sensor electrical connector.
11. Install turbocharger heat shield.
12. Install under floor catalytic converter Catalytic Converter - Installation.
13. Lower vehicle.
14. Connect negative battery cable.
15. Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
16. Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
