Rear Window Will Not Go All The Way Down
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves tie strapping the door window regulator cable.
MODELS:
2001 (PL) Neon
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
One or both of the rear windows will not go down all the way. May feel like they are binding.
DIAGNOSIS:
If condition can be duplicated or customer describes condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
THIS REPAIR IS COMPATIBLE WITH DAIMLERCHRYSLER'S MOBILE SERVICE PROGRAM AND DOES NOT REQUIRE HOISTS OR OTHER FULL SERVICE FACILITY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT.
1. Remove the rear door trim panel as describe on page 23-79 of the 2001 Neon Service Manual (Publication No. 81-270-1025).
2. Carefully peel away the top part of the watershield to gain access to the regulator cables.
3. Install the tie strap around the outboard regulator cable and door inner sheet metal as shown (Fig. 1). Cut off the excess tie strap material.
4. Install the watershield and door trim panel.
5. Repeat procedure on other rear door.
