FRONT DOOR LATCH

REMOVAL

Fig. 35:

1. Remove door trim panel.
2. Move door glass to the up position.
3. Disconnect lock cylinder, lock button and latch release rods from door latch.
4. Disconnect wire connector from power door lock motor, if equipped.
5. Remove screws attaching latch to door end frame.
6. Remove door latch from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Do not close door before adjusting the door latch, door may tail to open.

1. Place door latch into position.
2. Install screws attaching latch to door end frame.
3. Connect wire connector to power door lock motor, if equipped.
4. Connect lock cylinder, lock button and latch release rods to door latch.
5. Move door glass to the down position.
6. Install door trim panel.
