Gearshift Mechanism Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Remove shifter knob.
2. Remove console assembly.
3. Remove shifter boot.
4. Disconnect gearshift cables at shifter end.
5. Remove the parking brake mechanism. Refer to Brakes and Traction Control for procedure.
6. Remove the airbag control module. Refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts for procedure.

Fig. 14:

7. Remove the two remaining nuts at the base of the gearshift mechanism. Remove shifter.

INSTALLATION
1. For installation, reverse removal procedure.
