Installation
1. Position the power brake booster onto dash panel using the reverse procedure listed in the last step of REMOVAL.2. Install and torque the 4 power brake booster mounting nuts to 29 Nm (250 inch lbs.) torque.
3. Using lubriplate, or equivalent, coat the surface of the brake pedal pin where it contacts the brake booster input rod.
4. Connect the power brake booster input rod to brake pedal pin. Install a new retaining clip. Do not use the old clip.
CAUTION: Use only a new brake booster input rod-to-brake pedal retainer clip to ensure proper retainment.
5. Connect all previously removed vacuum hoses onto power brake vacuum booster check valve.
6. If the vehicle is equipped with Antilock Brake System (ABS), reinstall the Integrated Control Unit (ICU).
CAUTION: Before reinstalling the master cylinder on a vehicle equipped with ABS, a new vacuum seal must be installed in the power brake booster.
7. Install the master cylinder.
8. Adjust the stop lamp switch as necessary.
9. Bleed the base brake system.
10. Road test the vehicle to ensure proper operation of the brakes.
