Decklid Release Switch Failure

WHEN MONITORED
Continuously

SET CONDITION
BCM detects the decklid release switch stuck in a depressed position.

THEORY OF OPERATION
The decklid release switch is a momentary contact switch which connects battery to the BCM. Normal operation of this switch consists of a brief press. If the BCM detects the switch stuck in depressed position for more than 30 seconds, this fault will be set and the BCM will ignore the input.

- Wiring short to battery
- Failed decklid release switch
- Failed BCM
