NAME OF CODEA/C Control Mode Door Input Open or Shorted to Battery (manual HVAC only)
WHEN MONITORED
With ignition on
SET CONDITION
BCM detects an abnormally high voltage on its mode request input
THEORY OF OPERATION
The BCM provides a 5V pull-up to the mode request selector (located on the manual HVAC head), and positions the mode door accordingly. If the voltage on this pin is too high (above 4.59V), this fault will be set and the BCM will place the mode door in a default position.
PROBABLE CAUSE
- Mode Switch MUX circuit shorted to battery
- Mode switch MUX circuit open
- Manual HVAC head failure
- BCM failure
