NAME OF CODE
A/C Control A/C Switch Failure
A/C Control EBL Switch Failure (manual HVAC only)

WHEN MONITORED
With ignition on

SET CONDITION
BCM detects either the A/C switch or the EBL switch stuck in the depressed position for at least 30 seconds.

THEORY OF OPERATION
The A/C and EBL switches are momentary contact switches that share the mode request line. Normal usage of these switches constitute only a brief press. If one of the switches is stuck, the BCM cannot read the mode request selector and will set the appropriate fault and will position the mode door in a default position.

PROBABLE CAUSES
- Manual HVAC head switch failure
- BCM failure
