Evaporator Temperature Sensor Failure Trouble Code

Evaporator Temperature Sensor Failure

WHEN MONITORED
With ignition on

SET CONDITION
BCM detects an abnormally high or low voltage on the evaporator temperature sensor.

THEORY OF OPERATION
BCM provides a pull-up to 5V for the evaporator temp sensor, but during normal operation the voltage should be between 0.313V and 4.88V.

PROBABLE CAUSES
- Wiring open circuit
- Wiring short to ground
- Wiring short to battery
- Failed evaporator temperature sensor
- Failed BCM
