Alignment


The content of this article reflects changes called for in TSB 26-12-96.

NOTE: All alignment specifications are taken at curb height.

FRONT:

Camber:
Acceptable Range -0.4° to +0.4°
Preferred Setting 0.0°
S/C ACR only [3] -2.4° to +0.4°

Total Toe [1]:
Acceptable Range 0.3° in to 0.1° out
Preferred Setting 0.1° in
S/C ACR only [3] 0.30° In to 0.70° Out

Caster*:
Acceptable Range +1.8° to +3.8°
Preferred Setting +2.8°

* Side To Side Caster:
Not To Exceed 1.0° or less

REAR:

Camber:
Acceptable Range -0.75° to +0.25°
Preferred Setting -0.25°
S/C ACR only [3] -1.00° to +0.25°

Total Toe [1] [2]:
Acceptable Range 0.3° in to 0.1°out
Preferred Setting 0.1° in
S/C ACR only [3] 0.30° In to 0.50° Out

Thrust Angle -0.10° to +0.10°

[1]: Total toe is the arithmetic sum of the left and right wheel toe settings. Positive is toe-in, negative is toe-out. Total toe must be equally split between each front wheel to ensure the steering wheel is centered after setting toe. Left and right toe must be equal to within 0.02 degrees.

[2]: Toe-out when backed on to the alignment rack is toe in when driving.

[3]: The alignment specifications shown, are only for vehicles which are equipped with the ACR (Competition Package) sales code. This specification is listed to show the adjustable range for the Camber and Toe on the front and rear suspension of a vehicle with the Competition Package. These alignment specifications are only to be used at the request of the vehicle owner and only when the vehicle is going to be used in a competition event. The alignment is to be set back to the preferred setting before the vehicle is returned to normal operation.
