Odometer: Description and Operation

CIRCUIT OPERATION
The speedometer and odometer receive their information on the G7 circuit from the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on vehicles equipped with the manual or 3-spd automatic transmission. On vehicles equipped with the 41TE transmission the G7 circuit connects from the Transmission Control Module (TCM) to the instrument duster. This circuit also provides a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
