Wiper Gear Box: Service and Repair

Fig. 7 Windshield Wiper Motor & Transmission Assembly:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove wiper blade, then remove wiper arm attaching nut.
3. Remove front deck attaching screws, then remove front deck.
4. Remove RH air inlet assembly.
5. Unsnap hole cover assembly.
6. Remove wiper motor attaching bolts, then position wiper motor aside.
7. Remove wiper transmission attaching bolts, then remove wiper transmission assembly.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Torque linkage attaching bolts to 4 ft lbs. Torque wiper motor attaching bolts to 7 ft lbs. Torque wiper arm attaching nuts to 9.4 ft lbs.
