Installation

1. Position journal and journal bearings into yoke, then using press tool shown or equivalent, press journal bearings into yoke and onto journal.

2. Install and seat snap rings into yoke, then using a suitable brass punch and hammer, tap journal and bearings until seated against one snap ring.
3. Using a suitable feeler gauge, measure resulting clearance, standard value dimension (A), between journal bearing cap and snap ring.

4. If standard value dimension is less than or exceeds 0.0008-0.0024 inch, select a new PAIR of snap rings from table to set clearance to standard value.

5. Center journal bearing in yoke and install snap rings.
