Removal

1. Place suitable match marks on all components to be disassembled.

2. Remove bolts retaining Lobro joint to companion flange, then separate joint from flange.
3. Using a suitable screwdriver, tap flange edge of boot off Lobro joint outer race.
4. On models where outer race of joint can be removed, proceed as follows:
a. Place match marks on all components and note position of balls.
b. Tilt edge of outer race until balls can removed from cage, then remove balls.
c. Remove outer race and cage, then snap ring retaining inner race to shaft.
d. Using a suitable puller, remove inner race from shaft.

5. On models where outer race of joint can not be removed, remove snap ring retaining joint to shaft.
6. On models where outer race of joint can not be removed, using a suitable puller carefully pull joint from shaft.
7. On all models, remove boot clamp then boot and if equipped, boot washer.
