Replacement

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Remove brake hose clamp retaining bolt, then brake hose from strut assembly.
3. Remove front speed sensor retaining nut from strut assembly, then position clamp aside.
4. Remove lower strut to steering knuckle retaining bolts.

5. Working from inside engine compartment, disconnect ECS connector.
6. Remove upper strut retaining bolts, then strut assembly.

7. Using Coil Spring Compressor (tool No. C-4838) compress coil spring.

8. Install coil spring upper seat retaining tool (tool No. CT-1112) or equivalent, then remove locknut from strut assembly.
9. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. Torque all bolts to specification.
b. Align front suspension to specification.
