Using Voltmeter


Fig.10 Diagnostic Connector:





1. Turn ignition switch to Off position.
2. Connect voltmeter positive lead to diagnostic connector terminal No. 3, and ground terminal No. 4 and terminal No. 5. The diagnostic connector is located beside the junction block.

3. Turn ignition switch to On position.
4. Read Diagnostic Trouble Code on basis of deflection of pointer on voltmeter.

5. Based on Diagnostic Trouble Code, repair the associated defective portion.
6. Turn ignition switch to Off position.
7. After repairs have been made, disconnect battery cables from battery, then connect them again after 10 seconds or more.
8. Turn ignition switch to On position with voltmeter installed, then verify that a code zero is displayed. If code zero is not displayed, repeat steps 5through 8 until code zero is displayed.
