Impact Sensor: Service and Repair

Fig. 24 Impact Sensor Installation:

1. Disarm air bag as described under Air Bag System Disarming & Arming at Air Bag Systems/ Service and Repair.
2. Remove front splash shield extension.
3. Disconnect front impact sensor connector and remove front impact sensor.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:
a. Bend wiring harness slightly, to reduce harness slack and secure to front impact sensor clip.
b. Install impact sensor with front impact sensor upper surface close to surface of upper frame.
