Clearing Trouble Codes
Entering Self Diagnostics1. Connect the DRB II to the vehicle as follows:
a. Connect the 8-way DIN connector of the DRB II to the 8-way DIN connector of the MMC adapter.
b. Plug the 12-way diagnostic connector of the MMC adapter into the diagnostic connector located under the left side of the dash next to the fuse box.
c. Attach red clip to the battery positive terminal.
2. Turn ignition switch to Run position, copyright date and diagnostic program version will be displayed. Do not touch the keypad during the DRB II power up sequence or an error will result.
3. After a few seconds, the display will change to the main menu. Press the down key twice to view the rest of the menu.
4. Select "4 SELECT SYSTEM" to enter the diagnostic test program. The display will change to the second menu. Pressing the "DOWN" key four times will display the rest of this menu.
5. Select "5 AIRBAG" to enter the airbag menu.
7. Pressing the "DOWN" key three times will display the rest of the menu.
8. At this point you can select any of the specific test functions that have been programed into the DRB II cartridge.
Reading & Clearing Diagnostic (Trouble) Codes
1. Enter the airbag menu as outlined under "Entering Self Diagnostics."
2. When the airbag menu is displayed select "2 READ CODES."
3. If no codes are present, the DRB II will display "NO CODES DETECTED."
4. If codes are present the DRB II display will read "1 OF XX CODES," then the first code message.
5. To read more codes, press the "DOWN" key.
6. After reading and recording all codes, refer to "Diagnostic Charts" for diagnosis of malfunction (trouble) codes.
7. To clear codes all codes must be "read," then proceed as follows:
a. After all codes have been read, press ATM. The display will change to the ERASE menu screen.
b. Press "1 ERASE CODES" to erase all codes. The display will return to the airbag menu screen.
