Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove airbag module. Refer to Replacement and Repair.

2. Using suitable volt/ohmmeter check for continuity between No. 1 connector of clock spring and connectors No. 3, 4, 5 and 6

3. Connect No. 2 connector (airbag module side) and No. 7 connector of clock spring to connector No. 4 and connector No. 3 of SRS check harness part No. MB991349.
4. Check for continuity between terminal 1 and terminal 21, then terminal 2 and 22 of check connector of SRS check harness using suitable volt/ohmmeter.
5. Reading should be than 0.4 ohms. If not as specified, replace clock spring.
