Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable: Service and Repair

1. Ensure front wheels are in straight ahead position.
2. Disarm air bag as described under Air Bag System Disarming & Arming at Air Bags (SRS)/ Service and Repair.
3. Remove air bag module as described under Driver's Air Bag Module Replacement.

4. Remove steering wheel, knee protector, column cover and floor console.
5. Remove clockspring and SDU connection, then wiring harness.
6. Remove clockspring.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
