Air Cleaner Housing: Description and Operation

Air Cleaner, Air Piping And Components (Turbocharged):

PURPOSE
The air cleaner keeps harmful dirt and debris from entering the engine. The air cleaner filter is a replaceable unwoven cloth element in a remote canister.
All other components (Volume Air Flow Meter, Barometric Pressure Sensor, and Intake Air Temperature Sensor) contained in the air cleaner canister are Engine Control Module (ECM) sensors.
