Air Bypass Valve: Testing and Inspection

Air Cleaner, Air Piping And Components (Turbocharged):

1. Remove the Air Bypass Valve.

2. Connect a hand vacuum pump to the fitting of the air bypass valve.
3. Apply a vacuum of approximately 400 mmHg (16 in-Hg). Check that the valve starts to open, and that the valve holds vacuum without bleeding off.
