Motor Runs Slowly on Any Speed Setting

1. Remove wiper arms and blades, disconnect wiper motor connector, then drive link from motor.

2. Connect a suitable ammeter between positive terminal and terminal three of motor connector. Connect a ground wire to terminal four of motor connector. When replacing drive link nut, torque nut to 8-9 ft. lbs
3. If motor runs and average ammeter reading is higher than six amps, proceed to next step. If motor runs and average ammeter reading is less than six amps go to step 5.
4. Connect a suitable ohmmeter, check high and low circuits for a short to ground.
5. Check to see if wiper linkage or pivots are binding.
