Passenger Side Windshield Wiper Streaking

MODELS:
1996 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Passenger side windshield wiper streaking. May occur predominately toward the top or outer 1/3 of the blade.

DIAGNOSIS:

Inspect passenger side wiper arm/blade for damage and/or foreign material. If arm and blade look OK, perform Repair Procedure.

PARTS REQUIRED:

AR(1) 04897096AA Arm, Windshield Wiper with Arm Mounted Washers
AR(1) 04886131AA Arm, Windshield Wiper with Hood Mounted Washers
1 04886130AA Blade, Windshield Wiper

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves installing a 1997 M.Y. style windshield wiper arm and blade.

1. Place the wipers in the PARK position and turn ignition OFF.

2. Lift wiper arm to raise blade off glass and move retainer tab to hold the arm up.

3. Remove the arm from the pivot using a rocking motion. Disconnect washer hose at in-line connector if equipped.

4. Install revised arm on pivot and lock into place with retainer tab.

5. Install washer hose at in-line connector if equipped.
