Engine Oil Level Indicator (Dip Stick) Handle Broken or Cracked

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the oil level indicator with a revised part.

MODELS:
1994 - 1997 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid

NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A 3.3L ENGINE.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

The engine oil level indicator (dip stick) handle may become brittle from continued exposure to engine heat. This condition can result in indicator handles cracking and/or breaking off.

DIAGNOSIS:

If there is any indication the oil level indicator handle is cracked or broken, perform the Repair Procedure.

PARTS REQUIRED:

1 04663601AB Indicator, Oil Level

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Open the hood. Remove existing oil level indicator.

2. Install the revised engine oil level indictor, p/n 04663601AB.

POLICY: Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
